Bag Closing Conveyors
How the bag closes decides the shelf life of the product and how it looks on the shelf. There are four closing systems, and all of them work on a conveyor.
Clipband is the most common: it is fast and a date can be printed on it. The tab lock closes with a plastic clip. The tape system uses adhesive tape, and the twist tyer twists the neck of the bag and secures it with wire. Capacity runs from 25 to 60 bags a minute depending on the system.

Four closing systems
The neck of the bag can be closed in four ways. The choice depends on the product, the bag and what the retailer expects.

It closes the neck of the bag with a clipband, and a date can be printed on the band. There are six bodies by capacity.

Adhesive tape and twist tyer
Two alternative closings. The tape system wraps the neck of the bag with adhesive tape. The twist tyer twists the neck and secures it with wire, which suits products that want a homemade look.
